Revised tracking system for alternative testing methods – the new TSAR now available online
The Joint Research Centre's EU Reference Laboratory for Alternative to Animal Testing (EURL ECVAM) has entirely revamped its Tracking System for Alternative methods towards Regulatory acceptance (TSAR), recently launched at the Commission’s scientific conference on “Non-animal Approaches-The way Forward” held on 6-7 December in Brussels.

JRC meets with OECD experts to define good practices for in vitro methods
On the 23rd and 24th of March the JRC's EU Reference Laboratory for Alternatives to Animal Testing (EURL ECVAM) hosted a meeting with OECD experts to discuss the draft of a guidance document on Good In Vitro Method Practice (GIVIMP). This GIVIMP document would serve as a technical guidance on good scientific and quality practices to support the regulatory human safety assessment of chemicals using in vitro methods.

The JRC's EU Reference Laboratory for alternatives to animal testing (EURL ECVAM) organised this workshop with VAC2VAC partners from the 30th January to the 1st February 2017 to discuss ways of improving multi-centre validation studies and making use of the data generated for product-specific validation purposes.
