To be held in Brussels on 11-12 June 2012 . The presentations and discussions will cover the effects of endocrine disruptors on human health and the environment, the risks, the identification of endocrine disruptors and policy objectives
This conference, organized by the European Commission, aims to bring together all major stakeholders to discuss the challenges posed by endocrine disruptors.
Speakers will include European Commissioners and international experts. The outcome of the conference will feed into the review of the European Commission's current strategy on endocrine disruptors. It will also provide input to the Commission's upcoming proposal for criteria for the identification of substances with endocrine disrupting properties. Such criteria are required under the Plant Protection Product Regulation and the Biocidal Products Regulation by the end of 2013. The Commission also has to review the way that endocrine disrupting substances are authorised under REACH by June 2013.
