The EPAA 9th Annual Conference will take place in Brussels on 13 November 2013.
The EPAA (European Partnership for Alternative Approaches to Animal Testing) is a voluntary collaboration between the European Commission, European trade associations, and companies from seven industry sectors – animal health, chemicals, cosmetics, crop protection, fragrances, pharmaceuticals, soaps & detergents. Launched on 7 November 2005, the EPAA aims to promote the development of new '3Rs' methods (based on the principles of Refinement, Reduction, and Replacement) as modern alternative approaches to the use of animals in safety assessment..
A draft programme of the conference is available on the EPAA web site.

Two scientists from the EURL ECVAM (the European Union Reference Laboratory for Alternatives to Animal Testing hosted by the European Commission Joint Research Centre) will contribute to the conference: Sandra Coecke (Session 4 - BRACVAM / ECVAM dialogue: “International cooperation on 3Rs-validation of alternative methods throughout the world”) and Andrew Worth (Panel Discussion on Safety - Session 6 - "Why do we need more predictive safety science and how can we achieve this?")
Live web streaming of the event will be available - on the conference day, please check link on the EPAA web site.
